Start with the exact account and asset. No real wallet or owner is represented.
Discover large accounts, distinguish token holdings, and give every wallet label an evidence check.
On this site, top Solana wallets refers to researching large or notable on-chain accounts, not ranking wallet applications or recommending investors. Choose a measure before comparing records: native SOL quantity, a specific token balance, or activity during a stated window. Different measures answer different questions.
The Solana token documentation explains mints and token accounts. A token account is not the same as a complete multi-asset portfolio. Preserve the mint, token-account reference, and relevant authority information separately when the case calls for them.
A shared token symbol is not a reliable grouping rule. Keep exact asset identifiers and source references with the observation. If you group accounts, document why the grouping is justified and keep the raw account view available.
Make sure a grouped total and its component records are not counted as separate holdings in the same comparison. Our Solana whale discovery guide uses a simple numerical example to show how double counting can enter an apparently tidy leaderboard.
A balance snapshot answers a point-in-time question. To discuss a change, compare observations with consistent asset definitions, coverage, and timing. Do not describe every increase as a purchase or every decrease as a sale.
A research list should also explain what is excluded. Service-related accounts, documented infrastructure roles, and unclassified accounts need appropriate context. Leave a real-world identity unknown when the available evidence does not establish it.
Current and Reef are invented Solana learning examples. They are not live balances or attributed wallets. Their purpose is to make the next research question concrete: which account, which mint, which grouping rule, and which observation window?
Read the research methodology before using a real explorer. The site does not connect to a wallet, request a signature, or continuously monitor network activity.
Fictional examples, clearly separated from real-world addresses.
Does the observation concern native SOL or a separate token account?
Start with the exact account and asset. No real wallet or owner is represented.
Is the mint verified, and could account grouping produce a misleading holder total?
A shared symbol is not a shared mint. No real wallet or owner is represented.
